Reviews give consumers an opportunity to share their experiences and opinions. We want reviews on our platform to be helpful, guiding, and represent the average consumer, and that's why we have certain rules. For example, who may submit a review, that reviews must not be submitted in exchange for any sort of compensation, that reviews for marketing purposes is not allowed, and more.

These rules apply for all Prisjakt sites, including Hintaopas and Prisjagt.

Shop reviews

Each review must include a comment explaining the rating. The review must reflect the consumer's own current experiences and be related to planned or completed purchases. It may also relate to other matters or services that the shop has undertaken to handle or carry out for the consumer.

We do not allow reviews that are solely or primarily intended to express general opinions about the company's operations or that lack a connection to the user's own case.

When a reviewer claims non-delivery, or waiting for a refund, replacement, or other important action in an ongoing support case, the review must be updated and communicate the outcome as soon as the case is closed or no longer moving forward. If we deem it necessary, the review can be hidden and will remain hidden until updated.

Keep in mind that:

Shop reviews are not allowed from individuals with influence over, a financial interest in, or who, in their professional capacity, have a business relationship with the company operating the relevant shop. This includes companies within the same corporate group, chain or franchise, as well as competing shops.

Product reviews

Each review must include a comment explaining the rating. The review must reflect the consumer's own experiences of the individual product sample. Comments based on hearsay or pure assumptions are not allowed.

For movies, games or books, so-called spoilers are not allowed, they risk ruining the experience for others.

Keep in mind that:

Product reviews are not allowed from individuals with influence over, a financial interest in, or who, in their professional capacity, have a business relationship with companies that manufacture, distribute, sell, or market the specific product or competing products.

Important about reviews

Advertising, discrediting and sponsorship

Reviews may not be used to promote, or discredit, a company, product or website. This applies especially if the reviewer is connected to, acts at the request of, or receives any form of compensation (e.g. cash, gift cards, discounts, goods, lotteries, etc.) from companies connected to the shop/product in question (in case of suspicion of advertising) or by companies linked to competing shops/products (in case of suspicion of discredit).

This rule also applies to reviews where statements are made that (in our careful judgment) are demonstrably false, or reasonably must be false, and because of this risk harming a business or misleading consumers.

Contests and lotteries

To reduce the risk that factors other than personal experiences and opinions form the basis of a review, it is forbidden to submit a review as compensation for participating in a contest or lottery. Reviews suspected to have been submitted under such conditions will be removed.

Etiquette and Courtesy

Positive and Polite

Despite strong emotions, it's important to use polite language. Therefore, we do not allow profanity or unfriendly phrasing. A positive and respectful communication approach increases the likelihood of receiving the desired response.

Respect and Diversity

It is strictly prohibited to attack or offend other individuals, especially based on gender, national or ethnic origin, religion, sexual orientation, disabilities, or other personal characteristics. Respect for diversity and each other's opinions is fundamental. It is also strictly forbidden to share personal information about others.

Information about companies and their employees

It is not allowed to publish personal information about a company's employees. Comments about a company's actions should be made in general terms without directly or indirectly mentioning individuals. Focus on the company's responsibilities and actions instead of individuals. Use general terms like the company, the seller, the support agent, or whatever is relevant in the context.
