At PriceSpy we're constantly striving to be better, and our user’s feedback is key in our journey to becoming more helpful while they’re making those shopping decisions. Here's what we've improved on lately based on their responses.

It is now easier to find used products

Did you know you can now find used products on PriceSpy? Yes, used, refurbished and demo products have been available for a while. However we've heard that it's been hard to differentiate used offers from new ones, so we simply split them into two separate lists. This means that from now on our users will be able to see those used offers in a separate list whenever they're searching for products.

Finding the right offer

Finding the cheapest price was always possible on PriceSpy, but after talking to our users, we´ve realized that price isn't necessarily the main driver for making a good shopping decision. One of them summed it up wonderfully:

“I want to find a store I trust, that sells the product I'm looking for, at a reasonable price”

Roger that, we say! In addition to sorting the list by cheapest price, users can now sort by recommended and cheapest price in-stock as well. When they choose cheapest price in-stock offers will be listed based on availability. If they sort by recommended the list will be sorted by a combination of availability, price, and trustworthiness.

Finding the right shop just got better

In some cases, a lot of shops are selling the same product. We wanted to make it easier to choose the right shop by highlighting only the most relevant ones to help make better decisions.

From now on we've highlighted offers that are “cheapest in stock” and “user recommended” at the top of a product page. This doesn’t mean that we've changed our lists at all, they're there just like before.

We will also be highlighting sponsored shops, giving you the possibility to buy some of that good visibility at the top of our page.

To get a better chance at being a highlighted shop, it's really important to encourage your customers to leave reviews when they've shopped at your store. With a lot of great reviews, comes more trustworthiness!

Searching for offers is more simple than ever

We see the search journey as divided into three parts - before the search while searching, and the results. Our main goal is to let our users find what they are looking for, with as little interaction as possible. No more browsing through millions of unrelated products. No more spelling mistakes leading to dead ends. And, if they´re not sure what they´re looking for, our new suggestions will hopefully nudge them in the right direction.

This is our brand new search:

Search field design improvements

The first part of our improvements is to the search field itself. Making it easier to spot with an updated design, and more effortless to interact with.

Recent and popular searches

Users can now continue where they left off the last time they visited PriceSpy. We've added recent searches to the mix, along with popular searches that are products other PriceSpys are looking at that might inspire others too.

Predictions / Suggestions / Auto-complete

We've now added suggestions and predictions based on our categories, shops, and products to our search bar. We did this to guide our users to what they are looking for, and to help them discover cool, new stuff.

Did you mean...?

We've now got our users back with some suggestions if they spell something wrong so that they'll no longer feel on their own without a way forward.

New result page structure

When our users press enter and land on a result page, they can overview results grouped into Products, Categories, Shops, or Brands. This means they can finally go to a Category page or a Brand page straight from the search result. It's also easier to navigate between the sections with our new tab bar.

New Product View

We've introduced three new ways to view the offers list. The more visual card view, the more product-heavy info list, and the compact list for giving a better overview of all the offers.

That's all the news, for now, folks! Don't forget to keep on giving us that great feedback.
